SCINERGY are recruiting an Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to join the maintenance department of a power station in Kemsley, Kent.
As the E,C&I Engineer, you’ll lead all maintenance and engineering activities linked to the site’s electrical, control and instrumentation systems, ensuring high plant availability and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise a small team of Technicians delivering planned and reactive maintenance
* Drive safety standards across the maintenance department and ensure safe systems of work for contractors
* Work closely with the Mechanical Engineer and Maintenance Manager during outages and shutdowns
* Use the CMMS to prioritise preventative maintenance effectively
* Support maintenance strategy development, system upgrades and capital projects
* Manage and supervise on-site contractors
About You
* Time-served apprenticeship in electrical/electronic engineering with HND/HNC or similar
* Minimum 5 years’ post-apprenticeship experience in an electrical or C&I role within heavy industry - EFW, power, chemicals, paper production etc
* Strong technical understanding of EC&I systems including DCS, SCADA, PLCs, switchgear, motors, drives and instrumentation
* Experience leading or supervising small engineering/maintenance teams
* HV experience is desirable
