Design Engineer-£40k-£45k-Oxford

We are looking for a Design Engineer with experience in valves, pipelines, or fluid handling equipment.

About the Role:

The Design Engineer will work with customer enquiries and create suitable designs and quotes for fluid jet products. This includes choosing the right materials, keeping costs down, and following safety rules.

Main Duties:

Review customer specifications and design suitable fluid jet products

*

Prepare quotations and bills of materials

*

Look for new opportunities with customers and help improve product designs

*

Use design tools like CFD, FEA, and in-house software

*

Work with production and purchasing teams to ensure efficient manufacturing

*

Visit customers in the UK and abroad when needed

The suitable Design Engineer will have...

*

Experience with valves, pipelines, or fluid handling equipment

*

Understanding/Knowledge of thermodynamics/properties of steam, energy transfer, and mechanical principles

*

Comfortable working in a technical or design office

*

Good communication and problem-solving skills

This is a hands-on Design Engineer role with a mix of design, technical support, and customer interaction.
