This opportunity is ideal for a KS1 Teacher who thrives on nurturing young minds and creating engaging, purposeful lessons that meet the needs of all learners. You will be responsible for delivering the national curriculum to a Year 1 or Year 2 class, with a strong emphasis on early literacy, numeracy, and personal development.
As a KS1 Teacher, you will work collaboratively with teaching assistants and year group colleagues, and maintain open communication with parents and carers to support pupil progress and wellbeing. The school fosters a creative, child-centred approach, with a strong emphasis on inclusion, diversity, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum.
• Foster a positive, supportive classroom culture that promotes resilience and curiosity.
• Assess and track pupil progress using formative and summative methods.
• Work closely with SEN and EAL teams to ensure inclusive access to learning.
• Communicate regularly with parents and participate in wider school life.
Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching within KS1.
• Strong understanding of phonics and early years pedagogy.
• Ability to inspire and challenge all pupils through creative and adaptive teaching.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child wellbeing.
