Job Title: Building Surveyor / Senior Building Surveyor

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £45,000–£65,000 (dependent on MRICS qualification) + excellent benefits

The Opportunity

A global consultancy in the built-environment sector is expanding its Birmingham team and is seeking a Building Surveyor or Senior Building Surveyor to support a growing pipeline of work. You’ll deliver a blend of professional and project-based surveying services across education, healthcare and local government properties, all within a culture that genuinely prioritises people, wellbeing and long-term growth.

What You’ll Do

Carry out building surveys, inspections, condition assessments and technical reports
Prepare specifications, design information and contract documentation
Lead contract administration and monitor construction progress
Support project delivery from feasibility through to completion
Build strong client relationships and represent the consultancy professionally
Share knowledge within the team and support junior colleagues

What You’ll Bring

Degree in Building Surveying (or equivalent)
MRICS preferred, or actively working toward chartership
Strong technical understanding of building pathology and construction processes
Clear communication skills and confidence in client-facing environments
Experience with AutoCAD, NBS and standard industry software beneficial
A proactive, organised and collaborative approach
