Full time ASD & SLD Support

We are looking for experienced ASD & SLD support staff to join special schools in the Barnsley area.

Requirements:

Valid experience supporting pupils with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) in a school or specialist setting
Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies, communication techniques, and personal care needs specific to ASD and SLD pupils
Ability to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and support EHCP targets effectively
Experience working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, including teachers, therapists, and families
Child and Adult Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (mandatory)
Relevant qualifications such as Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent are preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children and staff confidently
Available full time, term-time only
