Autism Support Assistant – Slough

Location: Slough

Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Autism Support Assistant to work within a caring and inclusive school in Slough. The role involves supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) to thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one support for students with autism

Assist in creating structured, calm learning environments

Work with teachers and SENCO to deliver tailored learning plans

Encourage social skills development and emotional regulation

Support students with transitions and sensory needs

Requirements:

Experience working with children with autism or similar needs

Understanding and patient approach to support and communication

Team player with a positive attitude

Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain one)
