What You’ll Be Doing

Year 1 – Back to School (with a purpose!)

Full-time study at college to build your foundation in Engineering and Controls.

Project Work – Where the Action Happens
From the initial designs to on-site commissioning, here’s a taste of what you’ll get involved in:

Pre-Site Engineering

Assist with cost estimates, wiring layouts, PLC configuration, and SCADA design

*

Create and test emulation models

On-Site Implementation

*

Set up and commission PLC hardware

*

Configure sensors and motors

*

Troubleshoot issues and perform manual testing

Testing & Troubleshooting

*

Find and fix faults

*

Update technical drawings and verify functionality

Communication & Collaboration

*

Join daily project meetings

*

Keep checklists and trackers updated

*

Liaise with design and project teams to ensure seamless delivery

What You’ll Need to Succeed

A genuine interest in engineering and automation

*

Friendly and confident – comfortable working with a variety of people

Willingness to travel to sites across Northern Europe

*

GCSEs at Grade 4 (C) or above in English, Maths, and Science

*

Aged 18+ and a UK Driving Licence holder

A positive attitude and eagerness to learn
