Position: Safety & Risk Advisor

Location: Somerset with Hybrid Working Available

Salary Guide: £55,000 - £60,000 Plus Package

Our client is a leading Consultancy operating within the water industry, who are delivering a number of water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects across multiple AMP8 frameworks throughout the UK. They are recruiting for a Safety & Risk Advisor to be based from one of their offices Somerset with remote working available.

In this role you will become an essential member of the Safety & Risk Team, you will have the opportunity to assist a valued and longstanding client to deliver exciting and diverse flood and coastal projects. You will work as the technical lead for the region and resource a team who discharge the duties of principal designer and CDM advisor on a varied portfolio of schemes.

Primary Responsibilities:

You will manage a team of Safety & Risk Consultants who work across the Southwest region
You will work closely with internal stakeholders within the client organisation, their Project Managers and also work closely with their Health, Safety & Wellbeing Team and external delivery partners
Projects will range from feasibility studies, through outline & detailed design and construction on site
It will be important to ensure designs consider buildability, sustainability, environmental and health & safety requirements

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

Chartered Safety Professional
Relevant Degree or Diploma
Sound working knowledge of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015
Full UK Driving Licence
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Excellent report writing skills
A proactive approach with an ambition to innovate
The ability to work away from the office location for short periods
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and excellent record keeping
