A well-established geotechnical and geoenvironmental consultancy based in Cardiff is seeking a Geoenvironmental Engineer to join its expanding team.
This is a great opportunity to become part of a highly technical consultancy specialising in ground investigation, contaminated land, and geotechnical engineering. You will work alongside experienced professionals delivering site investigations and technical assessments across residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects throughout Wales and the South West.
The Role
As a Geoenvironmental Engineer, you will undertake a balanced mix of site-based and office-based work, supporting a variety of projects from initial assessment through to reporting. Key responsibilities will include:
Completing Phase 1 Preliminary Risk Assessments
Designing and overseeing Phase 2 ground investigations
Carrying out soil and groundwater sampling
Conducting gas and groundwater monitoring
Undertaking generic and detailed contaminated land risk assessments
Producing factual and interpretative technical reports
Communicating with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodiesYou will be given responsibility for your own projects while receiving guidance from senior staff, with a clear pathway for career progression into a Senior position.
Requirements
Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline
Minimum of 1 year's experience within a geoenvironmental or ground investigation consultancy
Experience supervising site investigations
Strong technical report writing abilities
