Class Teacher - KS1 or KS2 - Permanent - Isle of Sheppey
Long Term Futures are working with a nurturing and inclusive primary school on the Isle of Sheppey to appoint a passionate and dedicated Class Teacher for a maternity cover position in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
This role is ideal for a teacher with strong classroom practice and a commitment to ensuring every child is supported, challenged, and inspired to achieve. The post starts in September 2025, though the school is open to an earlier start in the summer term for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Create a positive classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and learning
* Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with a range of needs, including SEND and EAL
* Work closely with teaching assistants, phase leads, and SLT to ensure high-quality provision
* Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and wider school life
* Monitor pupil progress and contribute to assessment and reporting
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* QTS and UK-based classroom teaching experience (KS1 or KS2)
* A creative and reflective approach to teaching and learning
* Strong classroom management and a nurturing attitude towards pupils
* Ability to work well as part of a supportive team
* ECTs are welcome to apply and will be fully supported
