Orion is proud to be working with a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing company based in Coventry. We are currently seeking a skilled and methodical Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical bias to join their growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and ambitious Maintenance Engineer who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence.

3-week rotating shifts (Monday to Friday):

Week 1: 7am – 3pm
Week 2: 3pm – 11pm
Week 3: 11pm – 7amKey Responsibilities:

Reactive maintenance of machinery including boilers, steam pumps, conveyors, and extractors
80% mechanical / 20% electrical maintenance
Conducting PPMs and line improvement tasks
Fault finding using PLCs
Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics
Implementing solutions to reduce downtime in line with engineering strategy
Root cause analysis to improve plant performance
Supporting machine setup with operations team
Delivering a first-class engineering serviceWhat We’re Looking For:

Recognised mechanical qualifications (NVQ Level 3, BTEC Level 3 or equivalent)
Strong electrical fault-finding skills
PLC experience
Proven experience in machinery maintenance (PPMs and reactive)
Background in FMCG environments
