Academic Appointments Ltd is delighted to be supporting a highly regarded Secondary School in Skipton in the recruitment of a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving English department at a school rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, known for its supportive staff and positive student culture.

This English Teacher position will start in September 2025 and is offered on a full-time basis for two terms, with the strong possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate. The school has also stated they are open to part-time applications, with a minimum commitment of three days per week.

The successful English Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The ability to inspire pupils and foster a love for English is essential. The school is situated in the picturesque BD20 area, just a five-minute walk from Skipton Train Station, making it ideal for commuters and local applicants alike.

Candidate Requirements:

* A relevant honours degree and UK teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)

* Strong classroom management and communication skills
