SEN Teaching Assistant - Skelmersdale
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm | Term-time only
Ages Supported: 4-16 | SLD, Autism, ADHD

Are you passionate about changing young lives? Do you thrive in a supportive, hands-on environment where every day brings purpose? We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team in Skelmersdale.

In this role, you will support children and young people aged 4-16 with a range of special educational needs including Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism and ADHD. You will play an essential part in helping students build confidence, communication skills and independence, both in the classroom and during personal development activities.

This is a role for someone who genuinely cares. You'll work closely with teachers, contribute to learning plans, build trusted relationships, and provide personal care where required. Every day, you will be making a meaningful difference.

What You'll Do

Support students 1:1 and in small groups to access learning and daily routines

Promote independence, social skills and emotional wellbeing

Assist with personal care (including toileting, feeding and hygiene)

Implement positive behaviour strategies

Help create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment

Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other support staff

What We're Looking For

Experience supporting young people - backgrounds in SEN support, care, youth work or similar are very welcome

A calm, empathetic and proactive approach

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow direction
