Our client, a well-established company specialising in groundworks, is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Canterbury, Kent.

Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing and managing all costs related to groundworks projects
Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
Providing advice on contractual claims and procurement strategy
Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use
Ensuring project costs do not exceed budgets
Conducting site visits and valuations
Liaising with clients and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery

Job Requirements:

Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor
Strong understanding of NEC and JCT contracts
Proficiency in cost management and tendering processes
Detailed knowledge of groundworks and construction methodologies
Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects
Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
