We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming mainstream secondary school seeking a reliable and proactive Food Technician to support their thriving Food Technology department from September 2025.

Salary: Competitive, based on experience and school scale
? Main Responsibilities:
*
Prepare ingredients and equipment for practical food lessons
*
Set up and clear down the classroom/kitchen space for each session
*
Ensure a clean, safe and hygienic working environment at all times
*
Manage stock levels, monitor supplies, and place orders as needed
*
Liaise closely with the classroom teacher to ensure smooth lesson delivery
*
Support students during practicals where appropriate, maintaining health and safety
? Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who:

Has experience working in a kitchen, school, or food preparation environment
*
Is highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
*
Understands the importance of food safety and hygiene regulations
*
Is confident working independently and as part of a team
*
Is friendly, approachable, and able to build positive relationships with staff and students
A food hygiene qualification is desirable but not essential.
