Location: Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire
Contract: Temp to Perm
Salary: £33,075 – £50,471 (MPS/UPS or UQ scale, depending on experience)
Are you passionate about Science and eager to spark curiosity and achievement in young minds? A forward-thinking secondary school in Rickmansworth is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join their team from ASAP or October 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher, Early Career Teacher (ECT), or an Unqualified Teacher (UQ) gaining experience, offering strong professional development within a supportive department.
The Role:
Become part of a dynamic Science team that values innovation, collaboration, and high standards. You will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential to deliver Key Stage 5 lessons depending on your expertise in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons aligned with the national curriculum
Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
Contribute to curriculum development and lead extracurricular STEM activities
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent events
Support whole-school improvement through collaborative work
Candidate Profile:
Qualified Teacher (QTS), ECT, or UQ with a strong Science background
Passion for motivating and inspiring students in Science
Excellent subject knowledge and commitment to academic excellence
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Willingness to receive feedback and invest in professional development
