Axon Moore are delighted to be working with an growing, PE backed business in Manchester city centre. Due to growth, they are now looking to appoint a newly qualified Management Accountant to assist the Finance Manager.

The Finance Manager oversees the team and is looking for a strong Management Accountant to pick up the month end and management accounts, working alongside another. You’ll be pivotal in delivering accurate financial reporting, insight and analysis across multiple entities. This is a hands-on role in a well-established team, which will give you exposure to business partnering.

Salary: £45,000 DOE, Hybrid working (3 days in the office), 25 days holiday plus banks, private medical cover, pension and regular social event.
Key responsibilities:

Month end and management accounts prep for multiple entities.
Creating P&L overhead budgets and analysing spend and providing variance analysis.
Manage the balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany balances.
Revenue reporting in line with FRS 102 standards.
Bank reconciliations.
Review supplier invoice and expense payments.
End to end payroll process, adhering to strict deadlines and compliance.
Maintain the asset registers.
Business partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
Support the audit process, ensuring deadlines are met.
Identify opportunities for process improvements with a focus on automation and compliance.
Professional qualification and competencies:

Preferably 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
CIMA/ACCA qualified.
Intermediate level of competency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Solid knowledge of the workings of a Finance team, including best practice and working to strict deadlines.
Essential to have a common sense approach to dealing with problems.
Enthusiastic attitude to resolving issues.
Able to work as part of high-performing team.
