Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor (Fixed-Term Contract)

Project Status: Ongoing (Piling completed, Mechanical works to begin)
Contract Type: 6-month fixed-term contract
Rate: £18,000 - £20,000 for 6 months

About the Role:

We are seeking a Mechanical Supervisor for a 6-month fixed-term contract based in Middlesbrough. 

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate mechanical installation teams on-site.

Ensure that mechanical works are carried out in compliance with technical drawings and industry standards.

Monitor daily work progress, ensuring high standards of workmanship.

Conduct quality checks and ensure mechanical installations meet all required specifications.

Oversee the handling and maintenance of mechanical components and structures.

Provide support to the project manager, ensuring the project timeline is adhered to.

Ensure health and safety standards are maintained on-site, including conducting toolbox talks and risk assessments.

Assist with the planning and scheduling of mechanical work.

Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs and project documentation.

Communicate effectively with site operatives, subcontractors, and project managers.

What We Are Looking For:

Experience: Previous experience in mechanical fitting and building structures, ideally in a supervisory role.

Skills: Strong documentation skills, capable of using a computer, managing emails, updating systems, and reading technical drawings.

Site Management: Ability to oversee workers and provide site management support (beyond basic support role).

Availability: Must be able to start immediately.

Local candidates preferred.

Desirable Qualifications:

A background in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

Knowledge of mechanical installations in construction projects.

Proven experience working with mechanical drawings and systems.

Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently
