Job Title - Multi Trade Operative
Location - Birmingham
Salary - £32,500 - £34,500pa plus company van and fuel card
Contract type - Permanent

We are looking for a highly skilled and versatile tradesperson with proven experience in a similar multi-trade role. You will take pride in delivering high-quality repairs across occupied and void properties, ensuring safe, comfortable homes for our residents.
About the Role
As a Multi-Skilled Trade Operative, you will carry out remedial, disrepair, responsive, and refurbishment works across a variety of social housing properties. You will attend planned and reactive jobs, working independently to diagnose issues and complete repairs to a high standard.
Typical tasks include:
1st and 2nd fix joinery & plumbing
Diagnosing and rectifying creaking floors
Installing external doors and frames
Sealant application
Routine and planned domestic maintenance including:
Basic plumbing
Carpentry & joinery
Painting & decorating
Plastering & plaster patching
Wall and floor tiling
Roofing repairs
Locksmith experience
Fire door maintenance qualification (preferred but not essential)
Cap and cove installation (experience preferred)
You must have:
City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 in Building Maintenance, Multi-Trade Repair & Refurbishment, or an equivalent trade qualification.
Strong multi-trade repair experience, ideally within the social housing sector (beneficial but not essential).
Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage your own workload.
Experience using handheld electronic devices or job management systems.
Full UK driving licence (company transport provided).
