A Senior Environmental Advisor is required to lead and support environmental management across a major infrastructure project in a highly regulated environment. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with UK environmental legislation, driving best practice, and supporting site teams while contributing to environmental performance, risk management, and continuous improvement across all activities.

Who This Role Would Suit
This role would suit an experienced environmental professional with a strong background in construction or infrastructure projects. It is ideal for someone confident operating in a site-based environment, capable of influencing stakeholders, and able to take ownership of environmental performance while mentoring others and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead environmental support across site teams and provide expert advice to stakeholders
Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, permits, and project requirements
Oversee Environmental Management Plans, risk assessments, and method statements
Lead site inspections, audits, and environmental incident investigations
Drive environmental awareness, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvementRequirements

Proven experience in Senior Environmental role
Degree qualified in relevant discipline.
Experience within Construction, Nuclear, Infrastructure, or similar.Location Whitehaven
Permanent Full Time, 40 hrs
Salary circa £50k + £5.7k car allowance
