They performed strongly through COVID, continue to grow, and now need a Group Financial Controller to support the CFO and take ownership of core finance operations.

You'll lead on financial reporting, oversee group-wide budgeting, and manage one direct report, a capable Management Accountant. The wider finance team of nine is experienced, loyal, and doesn't need micromanaging. What they need is clear leadership and sharp analysis.

What you'll do:

Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual group accounts

Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and audit requirements

Deliver detailed financial analysis and insight

Lead budgeting and forecasting across group companies

Maintain strong internal controls and reporting accuracy

Support the payroll process and step in when required

Manage cash flow and treasury

Take on key duties from the CFO and contribute to long-term strategy

Lead improvements in systems and financial processes

Support and manage the Management Accountant

What they're looking for:

Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)

Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP

Experience in group or multi-entity finance

Ideally practice-trained or highly analytical in industry

Confident managing or stepping into payroll when needed

Independent, proactive and good under pressure

Commercially sharp with strong attention to detail

Clear and steady leadership style
