Maternity Cover – Veterinary Surgeon

Location: Westerham, Kent
Start Date: Wednesday 1st April 2026
Duration: Until July 2026 (with potential for extension)

We are a well-established small animal practice supported by VetPartners, located in the beautiful town of Westerham on the Kent/Surrey border—just one hour from London, offering the perfect blend of countryside charm and city access.

You’ll be joining a friendly and experienced team of:

3 Veterinary Surgeons

*

4 RVNs

*

1 SVN

*

2 Receptionists

*

1 Practice Manager

The Role

*

Fixed-term maternity cover from Monday 30th March 2026 until July 2026, with potential for extension

*

4-day week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday (8:30am – 6:30pm)

*

1 in 3 Saturdays: 8:30am – 12:00pm

*

No out-of-hours or on-call

*

A balanced mix of consulting and operating in a well-equipped, busy practice

We can offer flexibility and would consider a 3-day week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) plus participation in the Saturday rota for the right candidate.

Competitive salary dependent on experience:

*

£47,000–£54,000 per annum (pro rata, fixed-term contract)

*

OR £400–£450 per day (zero-hours contract option)
