Are you a patient, empathetic, and resilient individual with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities?

We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join the learning support team at a welcoming and inclusive school. You will play a key role in helping pupils with a range of needs (including ASD, ADHD, speech and language, or social, emotional and mental health difficulties) to thrive both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

Work 1:1 or in small groups to support pupils with SEND, in and out of the classroom

Help deliver tailored learning plans and interventions under teacher/ SENCO guidance

Support the development of pupils’ communication, confidence, and independence

Monitor progress and contribute to pupil records and review meetings

Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience working with children with SEND (in a school or similar setting)

Calm, adaptable, and proactive approach to classroom support

A strong understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant, or SEN-related training) are desirable but not essential
