Role: Contract RF Test Engineer
Location: Herefordshire
Contract Length: 3 months
Rate: £30.00 per hour (Outside IR35 – operate via your own PSC or umbrella)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Contract RF Test Engineer to join an established engineering business based in Herefordshire. This hands-on contract position involves testing, fault-finding, and troubleshooting complex RF and electronic systems used in advanced technology and defence applications. You will be working within a fast-paced, high-spec environment that values precision, technical excellence, and reliable performance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform testing, diagnostics, and fault-finding across a range of RF and electronic systems.
• Identify and repair issues at both the system and component levels.
• Operate key RF test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, network analysers, and signal generators.
• Interpret and work from electronic schematics and technical drawings.
• Document test results, issues, and corrective actions accurately and efficiently.

Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Contract RF Test Engineer, ideally within manufacturing, aerospace, or defence.
• Strong hands-on electronics fault-finding skills (RF experience preferred).
• Solid understanding of electronic schematics and circuit design.
• Competency using a range of RF test equipment.
• Right to work in the UK and citizenship of a NATO member country.
• Comfortable working independently and delivering results to deadlines.
