Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join a primary school in S12 area. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. This position requires a commitment to excellence in the kitchen, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Hours are 9am to 2pm Monday to Friday.

Duties

* Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus.

* Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.

* Assist in the planning and preparation of menus, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.

* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.

* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.

* Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to management.

* Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.

Experience

* Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant setting is preferred.

* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.

* Experience with meal preparation techniques and culinary skills will be advantageous.

* Ability to work effectively within a team while also being self-motivated.

* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
