Role: Capital Delivery Project Manager
Rate: £400 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: Rochford & Brentwood, Essex
Contract :6-Month Contract | Full-Time | Hybrid (2 days on-site/office)
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Capital Delivery Project Manager to join a forward-thinking local authority partnership on an initial 6-month contract.
You'll take the lead in delivering a range of major and minor capital works projects - from early feasibility and scope definition through to full delivery and completion.
This role plays a key part in shaping and maintaining vital community assets across Rochford and Brentwood.
Key Responsibilities
Lead on feasibility studies, developing scope of works and project briefs.
Commission, procure and manage capital and small construction or maintenance projects from concept to completion.
Oversee the end-to-end project management process, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to specification.
Act as the main point of contact for contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and positive project outcomes.
Manage project budgets (typically £5-£10 million) and provide accurate financial reporting.What You'll Bring
Proven experience in capital delivery and construction project management, ideally within the public sector.
Strong understanding of feasibility, design, procurement, and contractor management processes.
Ability to produce technical documentation, tender specifications, and project reports.
Confident in managing on-site activity, conducting inspections, and ensuring high-quality delivery.
Excellent budgeting, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Relevant qualifications or project management certifications are desirable.The Ideal Candidate

This is a hybrid role, requiring attendance in the Brentwood and Rochford areas two days per week , therefore, easy access to these locations is essential.
Daily Rate: £400 (Inside IR35)
Contract Length: 6 Months (potential for extension)
Working Pattern: Hybrid - 2 days on-site/office, remainder remote
