We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join our dedicated team in September 2025.

Role Overview:
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering an engaging and well-rounded curriculum that meets the needs of every learner. You will have the opportunity to shape children’s foundational knowledge in literacy and numeracy as they progress through Key Stage 1. The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching and able to inspire confidence, independence, and curiosity in their pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver creative, high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum

Assess, monitor, and record student progress to inform planning and next steps in learning

*

Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment where every child feels safe and valued

*

Collaborate effectively with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to school development

*

Communicate effectively with parents and carers to build strong partnerships for learning

*

Support the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities, events, and initiatives

We are looking for:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

*

Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2

*

A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment expectations

*

Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and engage pupils

*

A collaborative and proactive attitude, with a commitment to whole-school improvement

*

Please note: this position is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
