Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading energy company committed to sustainability, innovation, and continual improvement to recruit a Compliance Manager for its UK Energy from Waste and Biomass power plants on an 18 month fixed term contract.

This Compliance Manager role comes with a salary of £35,000 - £40,000 + bonus up to 12.5%, 33 days of annual leave including bank holidays and more. This is a home based role, however you'd ideally be located in or near the Cambridgeshire area.

Responsibilities and duties of the Compliance Manager role

Reporting to the Head of Development, you will:

Maintain and enhance the organisation's Integrated Management System (IMS) to ensure continued compliance with ISO standards.

Conduct internal audits across UK sites to monitor and improve adherence to legal, environmental, and quality standards.

Manage and update legal and statutory registers, ensuring all obligations are identified and met.

Collaborate with colleagues across the business to support compliance reporting, including environmental and corporate sustainability requirements.

Provide guidance and support to staff on IMS procedures and compliance best practice.

Prepare and submit compliance and performance reports within agreed deadlines.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

Experience managing integrated or quality management systems.

Strong understanding of ISO standards (14001, 9001, 5001, 45001) and regulatory frameworks.

Proficiency with digital systems and a willingness to learn new software.

Flexibility to travel across UK sites when required.

Salary and benefits of the Compliance Manager role

40-hour working week with flexible arrangements
