Veritas Education is currently working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Kirklees to recruit a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This is a long-term placement with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

About the Role:

Deliver engaging and challenging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
Plan, prepare and assess work in line with the national curriculum
Support pupils in achieving their academic potential
Contribute to the wider school community and uphold high standards of behaviour and learning

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
Have experience teaching English in UK secondary schools
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature and language
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Be adaptable, enthusiastic and a team player
