About the Role
As a Food Tech Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
• Teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4, including planning and delivering practical lessons.
• Developing engaging schemes of work that reflect healthy lifestyle principles.
• Managing kitchen spaces safely and supporting students with coursework.
• Contributing to the school’s healthy eating initiatives and extra-curricular food clubs.
• Supporting the department with resources, display, and enrichment activities.
• Participating in whole-school events and wider curriculum planning.
• Attending CPD sessions and building your teaching practice.

Experience and Qualifications
• Food Technology or related degree
• PGCE/QTS
• Confident and experienced in delivering practical lessons
• A strong communicator who can work as part of a team
• A passion for food, nutrition, and student development

Salary
The salary for this Food Technology Teacher role will be paid to scale – MPS/UPS.
