Transport Planner Essex

Are you an experienced Transport Planner who’s works in the Logistics/Freight sector? We have an new opportunity to support this well established logistics heavy haul freight company.

You will be responsible for planning the fleet of vehicle to ensure maximum utilisation and customer satisfaction. Working as part of a team you will be involved in a variety of projects.

Some of the key activities will include;

* Produce a daily transport plan in line with customer orders and expectations, negotiating best times where possible to best utilise the fleet

* Provide new work quotations and aim to utilise vehicles effectively to maximise daily revenue targets

* Resource subcontractors and negotiate rates

* Attend daily planning review meetings to approve next day and night plan

* You will update systems accurately whilst utilising full functionality

* Ensuring customer service levels are achieved

You will have;

* An understanding of Tachograph, working times and drivers hours regulations

* Previous experience in a Transport Planning role

* It would be great if you hold CPC certification or working towards but not essential

* You’ll be well organised and have strong communication skills

* Excellent geographical knowledge
