Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking passionate and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistants (SEND TAs) to work on a supply basis across a variety of mainstream and specialist settings within the London Borough of Hillingdon.

Your Role as a SEND TA:

As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities may include:

Supporting students with a variety of needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, physical disabilities, and moderate to complex learning difficulties.

Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised learning plans.

Assisting with day-to-day classroom activities and learning tasks.

Supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioural development.

Helping pupils to develop independence and confidence both in and out of the classroom.

Providing 1:1 or small group support where required.

What We're Looking For:

Experience working with children or young adults with Special Educational Needs (SEND) is preferred, but not essential - we welcome those with relevant transferable experience (care, youth work, etc.).

A patient, proactive, and compassionate attitude.

Flexibility and adaptability across different school settings and age ranges.

Strong communication and teamworking skills.

A good understanding of safeguarding practices (training provided).
