Senior Quantity Surveyor
Residential Groundworks & Civil Engineering
Near Bournemouth
Salary - £65,000 to £85,000 + Car Allowance + 25 Days Holiday + Pension

Blaymires Recruitment is working with a highly respected civil engineering and residential groundworks contractor based near Bournemouth who is searching for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the business.
This contractor has over 40 years’ experience delivering high-quality residential groundworks and infrastructure schemes for leading national and regional housebuilders across Dorset and the surrounding counties.

The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for multiple residential groundworks projects from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with the Contracts and Operational teams to ensure projects are delivered profitably and in line with contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

* Full commercial management of residential groundworks projects

* Preparing and managing budgets, cost plans, and forecasts

* Valuations, variations, and final accounts

* Subcontractor procurement, payments, and account management

* Identifying and managing commercial risk and opportunity

* Working collaboratively with site and senior management teams

* Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff where required

About You
You will ideally have:

* A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential groundworks

* Strong technical knowledge of groundworks packages, including drainage, roads, and infrastructure

* Experience working for a groundworks or civil engineering contractor

* A commercially astute and proactive mindset

* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

* The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

* A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management is advantageous but not essential.
