Engineering Manager (Vendor Management | Cloud, DevOps, Data, Project Management) - London / Hybrid

Contract: 1 year (Inside IR35)
Rate: Competitive day rate
Location: London (Hounslow, 2 days per week onsite, with travel flexibility)

We're looking for an Engineering Manager with a strong software engineering background, hands-on expertise in Cloud, DevOps, Testing, and modern data/streaming platforms, combined with project management experience.

This role is not about direct line management or day-to-day implementation-it's about holding vendors accountable, driving progress, and ensuring high-quality technical delivery. You'll be the bridge between technical leadership and project oversight, ensuring consultancies deliver on time, to spec, and with the right level of quality.

What you'll bring:

Proven track record in vendor management - driving, reviewing, and holding external partners accountable.
Strong technical expertise in Cloud, DevOps, SWE, and testing practices.
Experience with data/streaming platforms highly desirable.
Project management experience - able to plan, track, and deliver complex technical initiatives.
Ability to balance technical depth with strategic project oversight.
Excellent stakeholder communication and influencing skills.
