Those huge small victories
We are the highest Ofsted-rated provider in the country for special education and care. Our teams are fulfilled by the idea of making even the smallest positive changes in our young people, so we celebrate the little things.
For children with complex needs the level of care and education we provide must go above and beyond. That’s what drives us here at Witherslack Group. With our high staff-to-child ratio and in-house clinical teams, we’re proud to have a reputation for excellence and market leading OFSTED ratings.
Get out what you put in
To provide outstanding care and education, our people need expert support with Learning & Development. We’re looking for a Capability Development coach to help make sure they’re fully prepared for every situation. Our children and young people are depending on our team, and the skills you teach will play a vital role. Therefore, you can expect some great opportunities in return.
Sometimes our children and young people display some challenging behaviour. Thanks to you, our team will have the skills to handle every situation in a positive, confident way. You’ll deliver our Induction training, including PRICE, welcoming and inspiring our new recruits to make their best start with us. You’ll be responsible for making sure that our on-site tutors are well educated and supported, and that all our people are given consistent, high quality refresher training. You’ll be a mentor to our on-site tutors, advise senior leadership teams and share your expert knowledge to help raise our game. Wherever you are and no matter who you are training, you’ll promote the principles of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and make sure our values run through everything.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about training and developing staff – someone who’s committed to building skills and confidence within the team to ensure the best outcomes for the young people we support. You will also need solid experience of working with challenging behaviour, along with a natural talent for coaching people and communicating clearly. Organised and able to shape effective, innovative interventions, you’ll be prepared to travel and visit our sites across the country.
