JOB TITLE - Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching is seeking a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and supportive Primary School based in North Bristol.
The school prides itself on strong teamwork, excellent leadership, and a commitment to continuous professional development. Regular CPD opportunities are offered throughout the academic year, and depending on performance, this role may be extended or become permanent.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

Location: North Bristol
Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Full-Time: Monday to Friday
Day Rate: £100 - £130 per day
Hours: 8:20 am - 3:30 pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience working in a UK school is mandatory
A minimum of 24 months of verifiable, child‑related references is required
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience is desirable
Experience supporting primary-aged pupils across various year groups
Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable, including:
Autism
Speech & Language Needs
Up‑to‑date safeguarding training completed within the last year
Strong command of spoken and written English
Experience within healthcare or supporting vulnerable individuals is desirable

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold the Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new one
