Day Electrical Engineer – High Wycombe – Up to £46,000
Introduction:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a leading FM provider on a high-profile critical site in High Wycombe. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in facilities maintenance, particularly within critical environments such as hospitals, data centres, banking, or pharmaceutical sites.
Role Overview:
You will be responsible for maintaining all electrical systems on-site, including high and low-voltage infrastructure, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of critical building services. HV training will be provided, and immediate starts are available for candidates who can begin in June.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive tasks across electrical systems
*
Perform testing, inspection, and fault-finding on LV and HV systems
*
Support and manage critical systems including UPS, generators, and switchgear
*
Respond to electrical emergencies and support business continuity protocols
*
Liaise with site teams and contractors during critical work and shutdowns
*
Maintain lighting systems, fire alarms, emergency lighting, and power distribution
*
Record all tasks via CAFM systems and ensure accurate documentation
*
Ensure full compliance with health and safety and statutory standards
*
Work closely with wider M&E team and assist with multidisciplinary support when required
Qualifications & Experience Required:

City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
*
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)
*
HV Authorisation or significant HV/LV systems experience (essential)
*
Experience in a critical environment (e.g. hospital, banking, data centre, or pharmaceutical)
*
Proven track record within facilities maintenance (PPM & reactive)
*
Knowledge of generators, UPS, LV panels, and emergency power systems
*
Good understanding of compliance, risk management, and safe systems of work
On Offer:

Up to £46,000 basic salary

Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm
