Location: Saltley, Birmingham
Pay Rate: £12.42 per hour
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:00 (40 hours/week excluding breaks)
Start Date: ASAP

An exciting opportunity has become available for a physically fit and reliable Packing Operative to join a professional and well-established manufacturing team based in Saltley, Birmingham. This position is ideal for someone with Counterbalance forklift experience who is comfortable with manual handling and looking for a long-term opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general packing duties involving heavy lifting of metal products
Secure loads using metal bonding tools, shrink wrap, and heating equipment
Operate a Counterbalance forklift (approx. 10% of the role)
Prepare items for dispatch by safely strapping and wrapping finished goods
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety policiesRequirements:

Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (RTITB or ITSSAR accredited)
Physically fit - heavy lifting is a core part of the job
Previous experience in packing, warehouse, or manufacturing environments preferred
Ability to work independently and follow clear packing proceduresAdditional Information:
