Teaching Assistant – Cannock

A well-regarded and inclusive primary school based in Cannock is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team from September 2025. This role offers flexibility, with both full-time and part-time options available, and has the potential to become a permanent position.

We are seeking a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a difference in children’s lives and who can contribute positively to our school community. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, empathetic, and ready to support our pupils’ learning and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Teaching Assistant, your role will include:

* Providing focused support to individual pupils and small groups, particularly those with additional needs

* Collaborating with teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons

* Helping maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment

* Building strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents/carers

* Supporting pupils’ personal development and encouraging independence

* Participating in wider school events and initiatives

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

* A relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning (or equivalent)

* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a school setting

* Understanding of the Key Stage 1 and 2 curriculum

* Up-to-date safeguarding knowledge

* A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
