INSTALLATION SUPERVISOR

COMPANY OVERVIEW

My client is one of the largest specialised home adaptation companies in the UK. They help the elderly and less able to maintain independent living by offering a comprehensive range of adaptations in the home.

JOB PURPOSE

This position oversees the installation of adapted Kitchens and Bathrooms across all contracts. Responsibilities include supervising installations to meet specifications and standards, ensuring health and safety compliance, and providing technical guidance to operatives. You’ll liaise with clients, Contract Managers, Surveyors, and QS teams, and support planners with scheduling.

Primarily based in South London; candidates must live locally or be willing to travel across London and the Home Counties.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Lead a team of operatives and support planners with daily task allocation.
Reschedule and prioritise work based on client needs.
Conduct site visits to provide technical guidance and ensure quality finishes.
Attend pre/post inspections and report unforeseen works for costing.
Maintain a daily pictorial log of project progress.
Advise on technical installation issues and assist in ordering specialist materials.
Communicate project updates, changes, and omissions to the Contract Manager.
Help prepare subcontractor schedules and pricing.
Attend operational and core meetings as needed.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and company policies.
Manage performance, including coaching operatives and conducting disciplinary actions.

Monitor operatives’ appearance, PPE use, vehicle cleanliness, and ID compliance.
Maintain strong relationships with client representatives.
Ensure projects meet KPI and quality standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong communication and time management skills required.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

Full UK driving Licence
Minimum three years of Supervisory role experience

SALARY/BENEFITS

Salary: £43,000 per annum subject to experience
40 hours per week, 8am-5pm, with 1-hour unpaid lunch
25 days annual leave plus statutory days per annum
