gap construction are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established Tier 1 contractor specialising in high-quality interior fit-out and refurbishment projects across the commercial, education, healthcare, and leisure sectors. Based in Ipswich, this is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to develop their career with one of the leading names in the interiors space.

The Role:

You'll work closely with the commercial team to support the delivery of fit-out projects valued between £3m and £20m. This position offers excellent exposure to fast-paced, technically interesting schemes with the backing of a supportive and experienced team.

Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing valuations, cost reports, and subcontractor packages
Support with contract administration and change management
Help track project costs and ensure accurate forecasting
Liaise with site teams, clients, and subcontractors to support commercial delivery
Ensure commercial processes are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle

About You:

HND or degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a construction-related field
1-3 years of experience in a commercial role (ideally within interiors or fit-out)
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Confident communicator with a proactive approach
Eager to learn and grow within a fast-paced, professional environment
