About the Role

At Unipart, we're on the hunt for dynamic Mechanical Engineers, whose creativity and engineering expertise will pave the way for next-generation products.

This role is centred around the design and development of new products, working closely with customers and their engineering teams to ensure all creations meet the highest specifications, functional, and business performance requirements. You'll tackle complex problems, providing solutions and designs that keep us at the forefront of our industry.

Joining an exciting Graduate Programme with three 6 month rotations across our business, you will have a mentor in support whilst you navigate projects from conception to completion, working alongside a team of dedicated experts to deliver on time and within budget.

With technical autonomy and support from senior engineers, you'll support projects to success, ensuring they align with our quality standards.

As part of your role as a Mechanical Engineer, you will be:

Working in partnership with multiple teams and stakeholders, as well as customers to craft new products that adhere to specified requirements, including design, functionality, and business outcomes
Contributing to the full product development process, from initial concept and prototype creation through to manufacturing, testing, installation, and commissioning
Contributing to the technical documentation such as drawings, calculations, and reports, covering aspects related to product performance and failure analysis across a diverse product range
Conducting assessments of project requirements to inform customer quotations
Providing support to other engineers within the team and across our business
About you:

To thrive in this role, you will need:

A degree in a relevant Mechanical Engineering or Product Design subject, at 2:2 or above
A full UK driving license with access to your own car
Project management capability
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, as you will be liaising with colleagues and customers alike
To work effectively under pressure and independently
A real thirst for knowledge, desire to learn and an inquisitive mind, with an ability to understand and interpret data

Contract: Full Time
Location: North of England & Coventry (Likely rotations may include; Sheffield, Leeds, Harrogate, Doncaster, Southport, Stockport, Coventry & Crewe)
Salary: £29,000 p/a
