Echelon Engineers are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join a dynamic manufacturing team. You'll be responsible for producing high-quality 2D and 3D technical drawings using SolidWorks, working closely with production, engineering, and sales teams to deliver solutions that meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Create detailed manufacturing drawings from 3D models, including fabrication and assembly drawings

* Generate and manage Bills of Materials within the company ERP system

* Maintain and update drawings and parts databases with current revisions

* Ensure all drawings meet quality standards and relevant directives

* Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to optimise designs

* Adhere to company procedures, quality assurance protocols, and H&S regulations

Essential Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Draughtsman/Design Engineer in a manufacturing environment

* Strong steelwork fabrication background

* HNC or equivalent in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering

* Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD

* Excellent organisational and communication skills

* Proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
