We’re hiring for a Field Service Engineer to join a specialist mechanical service team based in Glossop, supporting a wide range of process industries across the UK.

This hands-on role offers variety, travel, and plenty of overtime for those who enjoy staying busy — ideal for an experienced mechanical fitter or engineer with a passion for problem-solving.

What will you be doing as a Field Service Engineer?

* Stripping, servicing, and resealing valves used in process environments

* Removing valves from pipework and carrying out mechanical rebuilds

* Testing equipment under pressure and ensuring performance standards

* Travelling to customer sites across the UK to perform servicing and maintenance for major blue-chip clients

What do you need?

* Mechanical engineering or mechanical fitting experience

* Flexibility to travel for extended periods

* Experience using basic hand tools

* Full drivers licence (advantageous)

* Relevant engineering qualification (advantageous)

* Familiarity with process equipment or food manufacturing environments (advantageous)

* IPAF license (advantageous)
