General Teaching Assistant

Teach Now is delighted to be working with a range of fantastic schools across Hertfordshire, offering a part-time, temporary opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to support students across a wide range of age groups and abilities — from primary to Key Stage 5, including pupils with special educational needs (SEN).

Whether you're looking to gain classroom experience before pursuing a teaching qualification or you're an experienced TA ready for a fresh challenge, this is your chance to thrive in a dynamic and welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities
• Provide in-class support to teachers and pupils across various key stages
• Offer 1:1 and small group support, including SEN students where required
• Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Assist in preparing learning resources and classroom displays
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning atmosphere

You’ll need energy, patience, and excellent communication skills. Previous experience as a teaching assistant is a plus, but a genuine passion for supporting students is the most important thing.
