Domestic Abuse Support Worker

Location: Walsall

Salary: £13.16 per hour

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full Time - 35 hours per week (rota-based, including evenings and weekends)

We are looking for a compassionate and committed Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join our team in Walsall. This is a rewarding frontline role supporting children, families and adult victims (male and female) living in domestic abuse safe accommodation.

You will play a vital role in helping individuals rebuild their lives, regain independence and feel safe again ?" using a person-centred, trauma-informed approach.

About the Role

As a Domestic Abuse Support Worker, you will:

Provide practical and emotional support to residents in domestic abuse safe accommodation.
Manage a caseload of clients, offering tailored, one-to-one support.
Complete needs and risk assessments and develop personalised support plans.
Carry out ongoing risk assessments and safety planning.
Support clients around domestic abuse, forced marriage, honour-based violence, and FGM.
Work closely with local and national partner agencies
Support residents to maintain their tenancy and move towards independent living.Travel between safe accommodation settings within the Walsall area as required

Work on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends

About You

You will be passionate about supporting vulnerable individuals and confident working in a fast-paced environment. You will have:

Experience providing housing-related support and/or working with victims of domestic abuse.
The ability to manage complex cases and challenging situations.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
Experience producing accurate monitoring and casework information.
A proactive, flexible, and solution-focused approach.
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures, MARAC referrals, and risk management.
Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (intermediate level)A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Additional Information

This role requires an Enhanced DBS check, which will be arranged upon offer.
