Department: Sherburn Metalwork

Hours of work: 7:00am – 15:45pm Mon-Thu and Friday 7am – 11:30pm

Established for over 45 years and now one of the North West’s leading& multi award winning Engineering companies, WEC Group Ltd is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Quality inspector to join our team at Sherburn Metalwork’s ltd, part of the WEC Group based in Sherburn-in-Elmet.

Responsibilities

* Ensure all quality procedures are adhered to and all drawings signed off as in spec.

* Complete administrative procedures relating to Quality.

* Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment

* Adherence to COSHH

* Maintain own equipment, Monitor calibration of measuring tools etc.

* Attend meetings as and when needed

* Any other ad hoc duties as may be required within and outside the production environment

* To adhere to all health and safety

* Overtime maybe required to be worked as and when the business requires.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

* Experience would be advantageous, but training will be provided.

* Experience or have a general understanding of engineering / fabrication / welding principles

* Ability to read engineering drawings.

* Show resilience and have the confidence to question everything.

* Be fully conversant in both written and verbal English.

* Lifting and Slinging safe working knowledge would be advantageous, but training will be provided.
