For: Design Engineer

Inspire Resourcing Ltd are recruiting a Design Engineer for a client in South Yorkshire.

This role is based largely in their Barnsley office, with occasional UK site visits.

Key responsibilities:

* Produce conceptual designs, supported by relevant calculations and analysis.

* Manage individual design and mechanical engineering projects from initial design to final commissioning.

* Create detailed manufacturing drawings.

* Liaise with other engineers and the wider team, workshop colleagues and client representatives throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential qualifications / experience / capabilities

* Degree level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, or a minimum of HNC level.

* Demonstrable experience in a mechanical and manufacturing environment.

* Understanding of design experience in a diverse client/sector base.

* Ability to work on individual projects from initial design to final commissioning.

* Experience with 3D CAD packages

* Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
