Job Title:             French Teacher 

Location:             North London

Start Date:          Immediate Start / Part Time [3 Days Minimum]

Salary:                 £100 to £150 per day

Learning Support Assistants and Higher-Level Teaching Assistants with over 5 years of experience in education will be eligible for consideration. Candidates must demonstrate fluency in French and possess knowledge of, or intermediate proficiency in, teaching and speaking Spanish.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

TeacherActive are delighted to collaborate with a mixed co-ed school currently searching for a dedicated long-term French Teacher. The school holds an ‘GOOD’ rating from OFSTED, excellent transport links, and offers convenience staff car parking. The appointed French teacher will play a vital role in enhancing the Modern Foreign Languages department across three Key Stages, embody the school’s ethos and vision, adhere to educational developments, and ensure high standards of teaching and learning.

This position presented is for permanence, focusing on Key Stage 3 / KS3 initially, with the potential to extend to Key Stage 5 / KS5. Responsibilities include exam preparation and encouraging a career mindset and employability. Additional duties for the successful Science Teacher will involve contributing to the school’s science curriculum, maintaining subject expertise, and supporting pupil standards in a personal and academic capacity.

The successful French Teacher will have:           

QTS with Modern Foreign Language specialism [Experience in French and/or Spanish]
Experience teaching French, Spanish and/or German up to Key Stage 5 / KS5
Exceptional classroom presence and management
