Commissioning Engineer EC&I – BEP – Sellafield Site

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer (EC&I) to support the Box Encapsulation Plant (BEP) project at the Sellafield Site. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing a range of commissioning activities across the Instrumentation and Control (EC&I) discipline, contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of nuclear commissioning objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Witness and verify vendor testing at works test stage

Prepare plant commissioning test specifications

Conduct early inspections of site installations to facilitate timely system handovers

Perform testing activities throughout the IPC commissioning phase

Identify faults and propose effective technical solutions

Organise and manage Commissioning Technicians and support resources

Initiate and implement Findings of Benefit (FOBs)

Validate Working Level Instructions (WLIs)

Apply and remove Temporary Commissioning Aids (TCAs) as required

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

Proven experience in nuclear CE&I systems commissioning

Minimum HNC/HND in an Engineering-related discipline

Solid understanding of nuclear commissioning processes

Familiarity with project management principles (preferably APM membership)

Competent in producing technical calculations using Excel

IOSH Managing Safely certification

SMSTS or SSSTS certification

Valid CSCS/ECS Supervisory Card appropriate to trade

Design Tools/Software Proficiency:

Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

IR35 Status:

Inside IR35 – This role falls within the scope of IR35 and will be subject to PAYE or umbrella company engagement.
